Immersion

Observing the increasing density of cities around the world, Neri & Hu address the issue of increasingly limited living spaces. Immersion reinterprets traditional oriental wooden tubs and is deeper than a normal bathtub while occupying less surface area. The more upright posture adopted inside the tub recalls the experience of onsen spas.
The tub allows for two different positions, one raised thanks to an iroko wood seat positioned on one side, the other completely immersed, promoting a sensation of relaxation, enveloped in the steam that slowly rises from the surface of the water.
The project is essential, with elegant proportions for a truly unique way of experiencing the bathroom.
