The k20 fits seamlessly into the Norbert Wangen collection: it maintains the modularity of the standard kitchen modules and introduces a new aesthetic design for both the worktops and the doors.
The result is a product with an even more rigorous aesthetic, the finish of the doors wraps around the sides and overhangs the kitchen worktop creating a kitchen with an even more compact appearance.
Backdrop that can be equipped with a shelf and light integrated into the riser, which gives a suggestive effect of continuity.
Retractable hood in the base with electronically controlled Down-draft function and accessory containment functions in the thick base with opening doors and internal power sockets for small appliances.

“The story of the k20 kitchen began in 2004. At that time Boffi was producing the k11 and k12 kitchens. Full of enthusiasm I wanted to develop new ideas to present a new generation kitchen, completely smooth and monolithic, without joints, with doors that open from above and hidden worktops... the dream of the future! Then 6 years passed before Roberto Gavazzi, during a breakfast in San Francisco, gave me positive feedback telling me how much he liked my idea of a monoblock kitchen from a few years earlier. At that moment I thought about all the useless attempts I had made to convince Boffi of my new kitchen concept... but who cares??? In the meantime I had done some tests to develop systems for professional kitchens, to make the most complex functions of the kitchen disappear. Every day is a new day and so we started working on the k20 project again.
The monolithic block originally designed to be free-standing is now combined with a riser with a back panel and upper shelf: this ensures complete continuity between the work area and the rear wall. The rear part is very large and serves to accommodate trays for various objects, electrical sockets and last but not least, a down-draft extraction hood, developed from the previous DD1 hood. Everything is integrated into the smooth surfaces of the kitchen. At the Cologne Fair in 2002 I presented the k10 kitchen, ten years later the k20 is ready to enter the scene.”
