Metropolitan '14
The continuous sign of seat and armrest characterize the armchair and the relax armchair. The armchair on a swivel base in aluminum with four spokes has a welcoming and elegant image at 360° that allows a location in any environment, domestic or public. The relax armchair, also swivel and complete with pouf, has a wider and more welcoming shape with the headrest adjustable by means of a magnet and rests on two different types of base, the first has four aluminum spokes, the second is formed by a disk.

What happens when a successful product decides to show itself with a new look? Twelve years have passed since the METROPOLITAN armchair was presented and adopted not only by the domestic market, but also by the Contract market. Since “design, like cinema, art and architecture is both a mirror and a lens that records the changes in progress” according to Jeffrey Bernett, it is legitimate to reread the evolution of an object over a longer period of time. “It is an interesting challenge that allows us to explore what has changed, what we have learned and what new problems can be solved.”
Thus, in both '14 versions, with a lower or higher backrest that becomes a headrest, the volumes have become thinner, the surfaces more flowing, tailored stitching underlines some key points and the seat cushion, no longer detached, has been completely integrated. The seat has a profile that seems to draw a smile, a "smile" in contemporary language, almost as if it were an invitation to sit down, to enjoy a moment of pause. Thus the high version offers a refuge both to those who want to deactivate contact with the world, and to those who want to interact from a comfortable position. Both swivel, the armchairs enjoy the presence of a footrest that completes them.
