Working on the idea of ​​a mirror, we found the possibility of giving volume to an object that is usually flat fascinating. We imagined it as a drop of liquid metal on the wall, but the idea of ​​making a single-material object in glass was as beautiful as it was difficult to make. The three-dimensional volume had to have a function and so it became the ideal location for the mirror's integrated lighting. We then focused on the finish, one of the fundamental elements of the project: the metal coating process (a technology usually used for industrial pieces) made the material semi-transparent so as to be permeable to light. The result was an almost neo-primitive object, strong and delicate at the same time. The entire volume is in metallized glass: the front part has a perfect reflection for use and the lateral thickness, once the mirror is turned on, lets the light pass through for ambient lighting.
